Taylor Wimpey plc returned to profitability in the first half of 2026, reversing a loss from the previous year. Revenue recorded modest growth during the period.
The company lowered its full-year UK completions forecast to between 10,600 and 10,800 homes. Management attributed the revision to a challenging market and persistent affordability constraints.
Shares fell approximately 4.6% in London trading following the update. Taylor Wimpey announced a new £41.9 million share buyback program starting July 31. The program is expected to conclude by the end of the year.
Leadership also revised the dividend policy to preserve balance sheet strength. This adjustment aims to navigate a prolonged downturn in the housing market.
