Visiting Taiwan, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) CEO Lisa Su said chip demand is expected to remain “very high” for the next several years, driven by artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. She said AMD plans to increase investment in Taiwanese supply chain partners, including TSMC, as demand continues to outpace supply.
Su is scheduled to meet with TSMC executives to discuss scaling CPU and GPU production to meet rising demand for AI technology. She praised TSMC’s expansion to support industry growth.
AMD is extending its planning horizon with partners to three to five years to help synchronize the entire supply chain.
