TSMC reportedly considers Dallas, Texas, for a second major U.S. semiconductor manufacturing hub, supplementing its Arizona site.

Strong demand from major U.S. clients, including Nvidia and Apple, drives this potential expansion. The company also aims to diversify geopolitical risks. U.S. government pressure to increase domestic production further influences the decision.

Industry sources in Taiwanese media indicate the proposed Texas project could involve six advanced wafer fabs. Its investment might exceed the amount committed to the Arizona facilities.

This move would establish a "Southern Semiconductor Dual-Core Corridor." It would link TSMC's Arizona operations with the Texas tech ecosystem.

TSMC has not officially confirmed these plans. Any final investment decision requires board approval.
