Tesla will increase production capacity at its Berlin-Brandenburg Gigafactory by 20%.
The company targets a weekly output of 7,500 vehicles. This ramp-up begins in October.
Tesla will hire 1,000 additional employees to support the increase. These initiatives will create a total of 3,500 new jobs in vehicle and battery production.
The expansion aims to meet strong European demand for the Model Y. Tesla previously announced workforce and production increases in April. The company added battery cell manufacturing investments in May.
