Tesla filed an emergency lawsuit against Angstrom Automotive Group to recover manufacturing equipment from a closing plant in Troy, Texas. The automaker alleges the supplier is withholding tooling essential for producing Cybertruck components.

The standoff threatens the production of several thousand Cybertrucks currently slated for customers. Angstrom informed Tesla of the plant closure on July 13.

Tesla claims Angstrom denied equipment access even when representatives arrived with law enforcement. The supplier reportedly demanded an additional $250,000 per week to keep the facility operational.

Tesla is petitioning a federal judge for immediate access to its property. The company aims to prevent a significant disruption to its Cybertruck manufacturing schedule.
