Tesla has begun renaming its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system to Tesla Assisted Driving on its European websites as it seeks broader approval for the driver-assistance system across the European Union.
The change follows criticism, particularly from German officials, who say Full Self-Driving could mislead consumers because the system still requires active driver supervision. Germany now supports a faster EU approval process, but objections from other member states, including France and Sweden, have reportedly delayed a vote until at least December.
