Tesla is increasing production at its Grünheide Gigafactory in Germany. The expansion responds to recovering European demand for the Model Y.
Weekly output will rise to 7,500 vehicles. This target establishes an annual production run rate of approximately 375,000 cars.
The plan follows a period of lower output during 2025. Tesla aims to improve capacity utilization and reduce reliance on imports from China and the U.S.
The company will create 3,500 new jobs for vehicle and battery manufacturing.
