Tesla expands FSD v14 access, adding automatic collision evasion features

Tesla launched software update 2026.27.6 to expand Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities across its fleet.

The update brings FSD (Supervised) v14.2 to Hardware 3 (HW3) vehicles for the first time. This Lite version provides HW3 users with new Speed Profiles and Arrival Options.

Hardware 4 (HW4) vehicles receive FSD v14.3.9, featuring a new Automatic Collision Evasion system. The vehicle can now autonomously engage FSD to avoid or mitigate potential collisions. This safety feature functions even if the driver has not manually activated the system. The enhancement marks a shift toward FSD acting as a passive safety technology.
