Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026. That exceeded consensus analyst estimates of approximately 462,000.

Tesla produced 464,391 cars during the quarter. It was the second consecutive quarter in which deliveries outpaced production, helping reduce inventory.

The Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 478,237 deliveries. Total deliveries rose about 1.3% from the second quarter but fell 2.1% from the record-setting third quarter of 2025. That earlier period was boosted by buyers rushing to claim a federal tax credit before it expired.

A rebound in European demand helped support the results, offsetting increased competition in China and the loss of U.S. incentives. Tesla shares rose in early trading after the announcement. The company will release its full financial results on October 21.
