This investment establishes a dedicated air and ground logistics network for organ transplantation across Europe. The network mirrors TransMedics' National OCS Program in the United States.
The partnership enhances adoption of TransMedics' Organ Care System (OCS) perfusion technology across the European Union. Paderborn-based PAD Aviation operates a fleet of nine Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft. PAD Aviation specializes in time-critical missions, including organ transport.
The investment creates a pan-European infrastructure. This infrastructure increases donor organ utilization and improves transplant patient access. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
