China Passenger Car Association data showed Tesla’s China-made vehicle sales rose 10.3% year over year in October. The company sold 67,829 vehicles manufactured in China that month. October marked 12 consecutive months of year-over-year growth.
The October growth rate exceeded the 5% year-over-year increase in September deliveries from Tesla’s Shanghai plant. The plant also exports vehicles to regions including Europe and Asia.
Sales fell 28.9% from September to October. Separately, Tesla introduced a financing option in China that lowers the initial payment for a vehicle purchase. Some industry observers view the option as a move to boost sales amid declining retail numbers in China during the first three quarters of 2026.
