Teva Pharmaceutical Industries received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for DEGEVMA™ (denosumab-adet), a biosimilar to Amgen’s Xgeva®.

The drug is approved to prevent skeletal-related events in adults with advanced cancer that has spread to the bone, as well as for other related oncology indications.

The approval advances Teva’s “Pivot to Growth” strategy and strengthens its position in the U.S. biosimilars market. DEGEVMA is Teva’s second biosimilar to receive FDA approval in 2026.

The addition expands Teva’s denosumab biosimilar portfolio, with the aim of providing patients with more affordable treatment options.
