Tata Communications said Spain’s National Court ruled in favor of its subsidiary, TC Spain, annulling a VAT demand and associated penalty imposed on the unit.
The demand was reported to be €33.6 million. The ruling resolves the long-running dispute with Spanish tax authorities and removes legal uncertainty for the company’s Spanish operations.
The company has not detailed the ruling’s immediate impact on its balance sheet.
