Turkey’s Capital Markets Board (SPK) suspended all transactions for seven portfolio management firms on September 17.

The suspension impacts funds managed by Tera, Pusula, Hedef, Atlas, A1 Capital, Pardus, and Bulls Portfolio Management on the TEFAS exchange.

The regulator ordered the liquidation of 130 investment funds belonging to these specific firms to address market instability.

This intervention follows a series of recent defaults and liquidity pressures on the Borsa Istanbul.

The SPK also reduced the minimum equity protection rate for credit transactions from 35 percent to 20 percent.
