S&P Dow Jones Indices and Cboe Global Markets extended their exclusive licensing agreement by 25 years. The agreement now runs through 2051.

Cboe retains the sole rights to list options based on S&P DJI benchmark indexes, including the S&P 500® Index (SPX). The partnership began in 1983 with the launch of SPX options.

The extension provides long-term certainty for the actively traded SPX and VIX options businesses. The companies will also work on new products, potentially including tokenized options contracts.

Royalty fee terms remain unchanged for 2026. Updated terms take effect in 2027.
