Samsung Electronics officially denied reports on July 14, 2026, that it is exploring a U.S. listing of American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). A company spokesperson confirmed the firm is not reviewing the possibility of issuing ADRs, contradicting earlier speculation from Bloomberg News. The initial reports suggested Samsung might seek a U.S. debut following rival SK Hynix’s record-breaking $26.5 billion listing.
Separately, Counterpoint Research data revealed Samsung reclaimed its position as the global smartphone market leader in the second quarter of 2026. The company achieved a 24% market share, overtaking Apple.
Samsung also announced it has joined the Sisvel Wi-Fi Multimode patent pool. The company will participate in the pool as both a licensee and a licensor.
