Swisscom successfully appealed a decision by Switzerland’s competition regulator, Comco, in the Federal Administrative Court. The ruling overturned an 18 million Swiss franc ($21.6 million) fine previously imposed on the telecommunications company.
The court determined that Swisscom does not hold a dominant position in the relevant market. This finding nullified the original claim of competition law breaches regarding fiber-optic network expansion.
Swisscom confirmed its 2026 financial outlook remains unchanged following the decision. The company continues its fiber rollout strategy, though the judgment remains subject to appeal at the Federal Supreme Court.
