Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL), in partnership with space intelligence company HEO, released in-orbit images of its Merlin.01 satellite. Satellogic’s NewSat-47 captured the images on October 4, confirming that Merlin.01’s solar arrays are deployed and the satellite is stable and healthy. Merlin.01 launched on October 1, 2026, aboard a SpaceX mission.
The satellite deployed successfully and made contact just 20 minutes after separation. The Merlin program moved from blueprint to orbit in 18 months. Full service is expected to be available in the second half of 2027, a development important to defense and intelligence clients that prioritize speed to orbit.
