Banco Santander reduced its share capital by 3.08% following the completion of its share buy-back program.
The bank formalized the action by cancelling 462,683,139 treasury shares. Each cancelled share held a nominal value of €0.50.
Total share capital now stands at €7,278,241,400.50. This capital is represented by 14,556,482,801 shares.
The move entails no return of contributions to shareholders as the bank already owned the cancelled shares.
