Revolution Medicines is preparing for an independent commercial launch of its pancreatic cancer drug Rasonque (daraxonrasib) in Europe. The company is building regulatory, medical and commercial teams in key European markets, signaling confidence in launching without a regional partner—a common approach for smaller biotech companies.
The move follows a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency’s human medicines committee, which recommended Rasonque for marketing authorization. The recommendation is based on a Phase 3 trial in which the drug nearly doubled overall survival time in patients. Rasonque received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval in August. If the European Commission grants final approval, it could become the first broad RAS-targeted therapy for metastatic pancreatic cancer in the EU.
