Raytheon Missiles and Defense, an RTX business unit, received a $511.5 million modification to an existing U.S. Navy contract. The award covers hardware production and spare parts for the AN/SPY-6(V) family of radars.

Work is scheduled for completion by November 2031. It will occur across more than a dozen U.S. locations. This sole-source modification highlights Raytheon's established role as provider for the technology.

The AN/SPY-6 serves as the U.S. Navy's premier air and missile defense radar. It is installed on seven classes of ships, including destroyers, aircraft carriers, and amphibious warships. Its scalable design defends against threats such as ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and hostile aircraft.
