Raytheon, an RTX business, secured contracts valued at $729 million to provide counter-drone systems to the U.S. Army, Qatar and Jordan. The awards cover components of the Low, slow, small, unmanned aircraft Integrated Defeat System (LIDS), which detects and intercepts unmanned aerial threats.

The contracts mark the first international sales of Raytheon’s Ku-band Radio Frequency Sensor (KuRFS) and Coyote® effectors. RTX says global demand is surging and is investing to scale production. The company is also developing upgraded Coyote interceptors to address evolving drone threats.
