Renault Group plans to invest more than €10 billion in France over the next five years. The investment will support electric vehicle production and the development of more affordable cars.

The company invested €13 billion in France over the previous five years. That investment helped shift its industrial operations toward electric mobility. CEO François Provost said the new investment will continue that strategic shift.

Electric vehicles accounted for 42% of new car registrations in France in September, a record share. Higher fuel prices partly drove the increase in demand.

Renault produced 500,000 cars in France in 2025. It expects production to rise by at least 25% in 2026, with the increase driven by its focus on EVs.
