Rocket Lab has signed a multi-year agreement with Tokyo-based Earth observation company Synspective for 20 Electron missions. It is the largest single commercial launch deal in the history of Rocket Lab’s Electron rocket.
The agreement brings Synspective’s total number of booked launches to 47, more than any other Rocket Lab customer. The missions will carry Synspective’s StriX synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites from Rocket Lab’s launch complex in New Zealand.
Launches are scheduled annually from 2028 through 2031. The agreement lifts Rocket Lab’s total launch backlog to more than 100 missions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
