SEBI approved the initial public offering of Jio Platforms on August 28, 2026. This observation letter clears the path for the digital and telecom arm of Reliance Industries to list.
The company plans to raise approximately $3.8 billion in India’s largest-ever IPO. This total represents roughly ₹37,700 crore. The offering consists of a fresh issue of up to 270 million equity shares. No existing shareholders will sell stakes, ensuring all proceeds go to the company.
Jio Platforms will use ₹27,500 crore to repay debt for its subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm. Reliance Industries currently holds a 66.43% stake in the digital platform. This listing marks a major value-unlocking event for the parent company.
