Quantum-Si announced interim development data for its next-generation Proteus™ protein sequencing platform, reporting performance gains over its on-market Platinum® Pro instrument. The results were presented at the 2026 World HUPO Congress in Singapore on September 29.
In a control study, Proteus delivered a median of 30 times more alignments than Platinum Pro. It also had a 4.8-fold lower false discovery rate.
In a separate test using a 24-protein panel, Proteus detected all 24 proteins, compared with an average of 20.3 for Platinum Pro.
The results were achieved while Proteus was not yet fully optimized. Quantum-Si expects further improvements ahead of launch.
