Employment within the information sector across San Francisco and northern Silicon Valley has decreased by 3,007 positions since March. This decline brings the total workforce in the region down to 102,529 employees, marking the lowest staffing levels recorded since October 2019.

The current downward trend follows a period of contraction that began after the sector reached its peak in August 2022. These figures highlight a sustained reduction in tech-related roles within the industry's primary geographic hub over the last two years.
