Quanta Services announced today that it has been awarded a contract worth approximately $1.2 billion to provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a new high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line. The line is a key part of a major renewable energy initiative to deliver wind power to a large metropolitan area.

Work is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with completion projected for late 2029. The award strengthens Quanta’s position in energy infrastructure. Market analysts called it a significant win, citing the company’s execution and ability to secure large-scale, long-term projects.
