Paramount Skydance has named Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz co-CEO of the company that will be formed when its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery closes. The roughly $111 billion deal has received final court approval, clearing the way for the merger to be finalized.

Kreiz will serve alongside Paramount Chairman and CEO David Ellison. Ellison will continue to lead overall strategy and creative direction, while Kreiz will oversee day-to-day operations and manage the integration of the two media companies.

Kreiz is credited with turning around Mattel, including through the blockbuster success of Barbie, a film produced by Warner Bros.
