Perpetua Resources opened a new pilot plant in partnership with the U.S. Army and Idaho National Laboratory (INL). The facility demonstrates domestic production of antimony trisulfide, a mineral critical for national security applications.
Located at the INL, the plant processes samples from Perpetua’s Stibnite Gold Project. This site holds the only significant domestic reserve of the mineral.
The collaboration aims to establish a secure, end-to-end U.S. supply chain for antimony. China and Russia currently dominate the global market for the material.
Perpetua’s stock surged significantly following the announcement. Investors reacted to the project’s strategic importance and high-level government backing.
