Kraken Robotics Inc. has been awarded a C$5.2 million contract to supply its KATFISH™ towed sonar system to the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). The award expands the companies’ existing relationship. The RCN already uses Kraken technology for mine-hunting and underwater surveillance operations.
The systems are expected to be delivered in 2027. The contract adds to Kraken’s revenue backlog. The market reacted favorably to the announcement, which validates the company’s technology and strengthens its position as a supplier of advanced underwater systems to naval forces.
