Palantir Technologies settled a lawsuit against the London Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) over MOPAC's decision to block a £50 million contract with the Metropolitan Police. Palantir initiated the legal challenge after MOPAC refused to approve the two-year deal. MOPAC cited the police force's failure to conduct an open competition.
As part of the settlement, both parties withdrew their allegations against each other. MOPAC clarified in a joint statement that its decision was not based on Palantir's values or ethics. MOPAC also stated it has never had a policy against contracting with the company. Palantir is now welcome to participate in the new procurement process for the contract.
