Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and GM Energy launched the Smart Charge Bundle for electric vehicle (EV) owners. The program targets customers who purchase or lease new Chevrolet, GMC, or Cadillac EVs.

Participants receive a home charger and monthly bill credits for using managed charging. This system optimizes power usage to lower costs and reduce strain on the electrical grid.

The partnership marks a major expansion for PG&E into the electric vehicle infrastructure market. The collaboration provides PG&E a direct sales channel to new EV owners within its service territory.

This initiative follows significant PG&E stock pressure caused by wildfire liability and recent analyst downgrades.
