Palo Alto Networks will provide next-generation cybersecurity solutions for England’s National Health Service (NHS) through its Secure Boundary program. The initiative aims to protect the NHS network from digital threats and support continuity of patient care.

The network includes more than 1.5 million staff. It also includes two million computers.

Working with IBM, Palo Alto Networks will deploy its cloud-based, AI-enabled security platform. IBM will lead the migration and management.

The centrally funded program will provide unified cybersecurity for more than 200 NHS trusts and organizations. It aims to safeguard electronic patient records and data shared across the health and social care network.
