Orla Mining has been fully integrated into Equinox Gold following completion of their business combination on July 31, 2026. The merger created a senior gold producer focused on the Americas.
Equinox Gold’s first Q3 production report since the merger showed gold output rose 34%. The increase included two months of production from former Orla assets.
Jason Simpson, Orla’s former CEO, became president when the merger closed. He will take over as CEO of the combined company on October 31, 2026, succeeding Darren Hall, who is retiring after overseeing the merger.
The combined company expects to produce approximately 1.1 million ounces of gold annually.
