Oracle announced plans to obtain FedRAMP Class D certification for its AI Database services. This certification will cover Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

The certification, formerly FedRAMP High, will enable U.S. government and public sector clients to run regulated workloads. These workloads will utilize Oracle's Exadata Database Service on dedicated infrastructure within their preferred government cloud environments.

This initiative aims to remove compliance barriers. These barriers have limited some government entities from fully utilizing cloud services.

Agencies will procure Oracle's services through cloud marketplaces. This integrates with their existing cloud commitments and simplifies billing.

The expansion supports Oracle's broader multicloud strategy. This strategy aims to capture more of the lucrative government sector.
