Oracle founder Larry Ellison increased his personal borrowing, using Tesla, Oracle, and SpaceX shares as collateral to help finance his son David’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance completed the $110.9 billion takeover on October 6, 2026, creating Skydance Corporation.
Rather than proceed with a planned sale of $7.5 billion in Oracle stock, Larry Ellison secured additional loans from a consortium of banks that included JPMorgan, Citigroup, and UBS.
In late 2025, Ellison provided a $40.4 billion personal guarantee to support financing for the bid.
