Oracle is experiencing an “impressive inflection” in customer demand, driven partly by generative AI, according to a new software reseller survey by BNP Paribas. October results showed a notable improvement from July, with particularly strong performance in Europe. Oracle’s trailing three-month spending score was surprisingly high among resellers.

Generative AI has become the top area for budget allocation, surpassing cybersecurity. Oracle’s database products on competing clouds, including AWS and Azure, rose into the top three for demand.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Fusion applications also showed clear improvement. BNP Paribas analysts said the results were reassuring for the company’s growth and profitability.
