Ocado Group launched its first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in South Korea in partnership with Lotte Shopping. The automated warehouse serves four million households across Busan and the Yeongnam region. This facility fulfills a partnership agreement signed with the South Korean retailer in 2022.
The site introduces dawn delivery services to provide fresh groceries by 7 a.m. Ocado expects this facility to be its most environmentally efficient CFC globally. The operation utilizes an all-electric vehicle fleet for daytime deliveries and energy-efficient, 3D-printed bots for order fulfillment.
