Navitas Semiconductor and Microchip Technology announced a collaboration on an 800-volt reference design for next-generation AI data center power applications. The design is intended to support the industry’s shift to higher-voltage rack power architectures for high-power GPU clusters.

The platform combines Navitas’ GaNFast gallium nitride (GaN) power devices with Microchip’s digital power control and security technologies. It is designed to improve power density and distribution efficiency and help developers shorten development cycles. The design aligns with the Open Compute Project (OCP) 800V DC standard.

The complete solution includes reference hardware, software, and design documentation. Microchip’s security devices provide features such as secure boot and trusted firmware updates to protect power infrastructure. The companies will showcase the design at the OCP Event in San Jose, California.
