NVIDIA and Microsoft announced a partnership at a joint event featuring CEOs Jensen Huang and Satya Nadella. The collaboration will bring powerful AI capabilities to consumer laptops, led by NVIDIA’s new RTX Spark chip, which will debut in Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Ultra.
The move expands NVIDIA beyond its data center business into consumer PCs designed for local AI processing. The laptops are intended to run AI models locally, a development that could broaden NVIDIA’s addressable market and create a new revenue stream among consumers and enterprises.
NVIDIA shares rose approximately 4% during the week of the event.
