ServiceNow announced the general availability of Arc, a personal AI agent for enterprises, on October 21, 2026. Developed through an expanded partnership with NVIDIA, Arc can automate workplace tasks across applications such as email and Microsoft Teams, including after an employee’s workday ends. Employees can assign Arc goals, and the agent will plan and carry out the steps needed to achieve them.
Arc’s actions are managed by ServiceNow’s Super Intelligence Control Tower and enforced by NVIDIA’s OpenShell secure runtime environment. Together, these controls let IT departments set and manage the agent’s permissions and access levels, addressing business concerns about autonomous AI.
Arc is available for Mac users through the ServiceNow EmployeeWorks platform at no extra cost for certain subscription tiers. Windows support is expected in the coming weeks. Further security integrations, including ServiceNow’s AI Passport with NVIDIA hardware-level enforcement, are planned for a future release.
