Northrop Grumman received a $4.84 billion contract from the U.S. Army for the Common Infrared Countermeasure (CIRCM) system. The Department of Defense announced the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement on September 8, 2026.
This contract moves the CIRCM program into full-rate production to protect military aircraft from heat-seeking missiles. The Army Contracting Command will manage the production line through September 30, 2035.
Work locations and specific funding will be determined with each individual order.
