Northrop Grumman is expanding production capacity for the B-21 Raider stealth bomber.

CEO Kathy Warden stated at a May 28 conference that faster manufacturing enables the U.S. Air Force to increase its fleet.

The Air Force currently plans to purchase 100 of the next-generation aircraft.

A prior government agreement provides $4.5 billion to support the capacity expansion.

This funding will help increase production volume by 25%.

Northrop Grumman is also internally investing $2.5 billion to improve manufacturing efficiency.

The first operational B-21 bombers are scheduled for delivery in 2027.
