NanoViricides secured financing for a Phase II clinical trial of its oral Ebola drug, NV-387. The company is awaiting regulatory approval from ACOREP to begin the study in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The trial will evaluate NV-387 as an oral gummy to treat the Bundibugyo Ebolavirus. This virus strain is currently driving a rapidly expanding outbreak in the region.

NanoViricides confirmed the new financing is sufficient to cover all trial expenses. NV-387 serves as a scalable alternative to infusion-based therapies in resource-limited settings.

The drug is already in the DRC for a separate Mpox clinical trial. This existing inventory allows for an immediate launch upon regulatory approval.
