Netflix has released the first trailer for 'The Altruists,' a new eight-episode limited series dramatizing the rise and collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. The show will premiere on the streaming service on November 19, with all episodes available at once.
The series stars Anthony Boyle as FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried and Julia Garner as Caroline Ellison, the former CEO of affiliated trading firm Alameda Research. The story focuses on their ambitious efforts to change the global financial system and their relationship, which culminated in the loss of billions in customer funds.
