Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria is departing after nearly a decade at the company. Veteran media executive Peter Rice, formerly of Disney and Fox, will replace her on October 26.
Rice most recently served as Chairman of Walt Disney Television. He will oversee Netflix’s global content, including scripted and unscripted series, film and live events.
The change follows a period of slowing growth for the streamer and layoffs that affected about 1,000 employees.
