Netflix has fired film chief Dan Lin after less than three years in the role. The dismissal is part of a broader executive shake-up. Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria was recently replaced by former Disney executive Peter Rice, who will oversee the film division in the interim.

Netflix is due to announce its third-quarter earnings on Tuesday. The leadership change follows a week in which the company laid off approximately 1,000 employees. The cuts represented 6% of its workforce.

The layoffs came amid concerns about slowing viewer engagement and a significant drop in Netflix’s stock price over the past year.
