Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS) announced it acquired Inferize, an AI inference optimization company, for an undisclosed amount. The deal will add Inferize’s technology to Nebius’s Token Factory, its managed platform for production AI, with the aim of reducing the time and cost of launching and scaling large AI models.
Inferize’s technology addresses the “cold start” problem, when GPUs can sit idle while models load. It is designed to make inference workloads more elastic and responsive to changes in demand, improving GPU utilization and infrastructure efficiency.
NBIS shares rose modestly in premarket trading following the announcement. The acquisition is Nebius’s second significant AI-related deal, after its purchase of Eigen AI.
