ArcelorMittal suspended primary steel production at its Kryvyi Rih plant in Ukraine on September 12, 2026. A ballistic missile strike targeted the facility's ironmaking complex.

The attack killed two contractors and injured two employees. This event marks the second strike on the plant within five weeks.

Specialist teams are currently assessing significant damage to the site. All other plant facilities remain idled or at minimal operating levels.

ArcelorMittal has not provided a timeline for resuming production.
